Network infrastructure is the combination of physical and logical components that allow devices to connect and communicate within a network.

Network Infrastructure

• Hardware Components - servers, routers, switches, access points, cabling, NICs and firewalls
• Software Components - Operating systems, Network protocols, Network management software and security software

IT Infrastructure

IT infrastructure includes all physical and virtual resources that support the delivery of IT services.

• Physical Infrastructure - Data centers, servers and storage devices, UPS and generators, colling systems and physical security systems (CCTV and access points)
• Virtual Infrastructure - Virtual machines, cloud computing services, virtual networks and storage, Containers and virtualization platforms
